Dr. Skateboard's Action Science presents video content that focuses on concepts in physical science that integrate action sports, including skateboarding and Bicycle Motocross (BMX). These videos focus on motion that are found in these sports, including velocity, acceleration, point of reference, momentum, energy and much more. Dr. Bill Robertson acts as both the narrator and a performer in the series, which also includes top extreme athletes in BMX and skateboarding. The videos provide participating teachers and students with a series of instructional opportunities and relevant content information that can be used to explore and explain the given content information as well as engage the students in classroom activities. - See more here.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program supports children by providing academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
The program runs Tuesdays-Fridays 3:25-6:25 PM. Transportation to Millmont and Oakbrook is provided. For info call 484-857-7292 or the office at 610-371-5935.
